Believe it or not, this situation has been encountered one other time in history with G. K. Chesterson. Chesterson cleverly burned all of his birth documents, but forgot to wipe out his parents naturalization records. They were not naturalized citizens when Chesterson was born, thus making him ineligible for President. Sadly, that information did not come to light until well after his term ended.

There are many valid eligibility questions, and not just because we don’t like the direction he is taking our country. It isn’t a case of “sour grapes,” but a case of holding the highest office in the land accountable to the U.S. Constitution that the President swears to uphold and defend.

The reason we are losing our Constitution is fairly simple:

As a people, we no longer believe in a written document to govern our own lives. In other words, we are no longer struggling with the meanings of the words in the Bible and applying them to our own daily lives. Therefore, we have become INCOMPETENT to ENFORCE a written document on our public servants. And, when we do not enforce the Constitution on them, do they act like servants or like rulers? The daily news shows they no longer consider the Constitution any kind of restraint on their actions, so they act like rulers. No one is asking, What is the Constitutional authority for this piece of legislation or this action by the executive branch or this ruling by the judiciary?

In other words, even if we wanted to enforce the Constitution on our public servants, we have become INCOMPETENT to do so. We do not understand the meaning of the interstate commerce clause, to make them obey it and quit expanding it beyond its original intent. We certainly do not know the difference between “COIN” money and “PRINT” money in the clause that grants that power to Congress. And, if we cannot enforce the simple eligibility requirements for the office of President, how can we enforce more complex issues like those two I just mentioned? How hard is it to understand you have to be a NATURAL BORN citizen, live in USA at least 14 years, and be at least 35 years of age?

The problem is WE THE PEOPLE. Worse yet, it is the Christians who are more responsible than the unbelievers, because 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, If MY PEOPLE who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, THEN will I hear from heaven and forgive their sins and HEAL THEIR LAND.

So, if America is not healed, whose fault is it, according to 2 Chronicles 7:14?

We need a worldview that is broader than just personal, family, church, and funeral parlor. We need a biblical and Christian worldview that embraces every area of life and thought, not being spoiled by worldly ideas and false philosophies, taking captive EVERY THOUGHT to the OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST, (Colossians 2:8-9; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

I feel your pain, brother. And your frustration. One thing that keeps me going down this political road is the desolation and carnage that is on it’s way if this process fails. I don’t fear for myself but for the innocent and ignorant. The guilty will get theirs, God will see to that. The guilty will be judged, the righteous will be triumphant regardless of what happens, and the lukewarm? Jesus tells us in scripture what He thinks of them.

Dr. Keyes’ words apparently had the same inspirational effect on you as it had on me. My take is this: for far too long congess has been passing laws whereby they exempt themselves. Whether it is a large matter or not, health care coverage or hiring practices, this has given them a scense of elitism that lays the groundwork for this present constitutional crisis. They give anti-trust exemptions for their donors then bail them out or pass restrictive laws to address the problems they caused in the first place.

You are absolutely correct in stating this didn’t happen overnight. If we don’t get extremely picky over every piece of legislation, this degradation will continue. And unless we become spiritually sensitized to these nuances, they will continue. Again, you are correct. The place to start is the pulpit. (Or perhaps from a church member with the appropriate amount of righteous indignation who can light a fire under his/her preacher.)

That’s doubly ironic since these attorneys – and their bosses – took an oath to defend the Constitution from enemies foreign AND domestic but they are now in the position of actually attacking that very document rather than defending it and are trying to get an obviously ineligible man to remain in an office he has never shown himself to be eligible to hold.

The wonderful Apuzzo Brief is a primer on both Constitutional law, the meaning of it, the Founders’ intent vis-a-vis Article II of the
Constitution and a forceful put-down of the lies and misinformation put forth by the Obama Flying Monkeys such as “smrstrauss” and others.

I’d urge everyone to read the Initial Appeals Brief from Attorney Apuzzo’s website along with the many essays by both Mario Apuzzo AND his Lead Plaintiff, Charles F. Kerchner. While there, it would really help to donate even a small amount to the publicity/education fund presently used only for full-page newspaper ads in the Washington Times National Weekly Edition.

The Brief gives a very good overview of the original action AND it puts the lie to the many false arguments by the Obot Flying Monkeys about why BHO is either (their words) eligible to hold the office he now occupies OR that it (their words) doesn’t matter that he is not eligible.

Actually, Obama’s whole life seems to be nothing but a work of fiction. The man has never shown himself to be Constitutionally eligible to hold the office he now occupies.

I agree very much with the previous posts. I have been thinking about the differences between George Washington and the current usurper and the differences between the drafters of our Constitution and the narcissistic hoodlums in Congress today. Where is the Christian statesman? Where is the man of virtue, integrity and principle?

While I think America is starting to wake up to the fact that we have criminals representing us in Washington and that they all should be tried for treason for not speaking out against the usurper, I am still concerned that our arousal from slumber will be too late.

I am saddened and angered by the malicious attacks upon those like yourself and Dr. Taitz who are demanding the truth on the eligibility issue and standing against the genocide that is being winked at by most of America. We have corrupt political leaders and corrupt judges and from my understanding of the Holy Scriptures and Biblical history, America is due for revival or judgment – I pray for the former but expect the latter.
