Conservative and quislings’ GOP- Does pride keep them in bondage?

With a bond-breaking lesson from George Washington

These days violent, grisly barbarism everywhere lengthens its menacing shadow.  To quote the poet, “the best lack all conviction. The worst are filled with passionate intensity.”  Like Babylon in the Bible, it seems that America’s fall will cause the fall of many.  But unlike the greedy, lust-and power-mad Babylon our elitist would-be masters would have us become, the hope America is supposed to offer does not exclusively cater to those engorged with the world’s riches, (who conflate its happiness with the selfish satisfaction of their own lusts).  Rather it caters to those who hunger and thirst for justice, and who know in their heart of hearts, that its substance has been and is endowed by our Creator, God.  Thanks to the GOP’s quisling leaders the Republican Party simply refuses to offer a true and trustworthy alternative to that elitist vision.  They do not now, and are unlikely ever again to  represent the partisans of God-endowed right.  It’s long past time for those homeless partisans to build something new.

Even the Republican leaders  who appear to resist the quislings’ stranglehold on the GOP’s future often speak and act in ways that prove their lack of true conviction; or else their inability or unwillingness to articulate it with courage and understanding.  Most importantly they seem to lack the humility to admit that their bondage to the GOP has, since the end of the Reagan era,  brought mostly a string of defeats for conservatives, with not a single success that does not serve to punctuate the reasons for their general failure.

The situation of Republicans at this juncture in our political history reminds me of the strategic challenge George Washington faced in the first months of the Revolutionary War.  After “the shot heard ‘round the world” America’s forces successfully stymied the British forces occupying Boston.  But after this success, and despite the Declaration of Independence, came a string of defeats in which the Americans were time and again defeated in open battles, fought on British terms.  Miraculously, the main American Army escaped the full consequences of these defeats.

From the crucible of this experience, there eventually emerged a radical change in Washington’s tactics, one that combined surprising humility with even more surprising boldness.  Washington had the humility of mind to admit that his open battle tactics had failed, bringing his forces to the brink of dissolution.  However he also had the humility of spirit to acknowledge that the Providence of God had intervened to save the American Army from destruction.

From what I have read, what followed was the product of that humbly faithful spirit.  That spirit helped Washington to see the real strength of the patriot cause.  God’s miraculous aid helped them to survive despite of their material defeats.  In like fashion, He might help them to achieve a much needed victory, if in their plans they trusted in His aid.  Armed with that conviction, instead of being discouraged by his army’s weaknesses, Washington concentrated his strategic thinking on finding the tactical path that would make the best use of its remaining strength, just as the patriots had made the best use of the make-shift resources they had at hand to save the American Army after its defeats.

Instead of pridefully clinging to a strategy that has repeatedly failed, contemporary conservatives should ask themselves- What is the best resource we now have at hand in the battle to save our constitutional republic?  Is it to trust in the sham party system, encouraged by occasional victories that are quite probably intended to string us along until our country has been irretrievably eviscerated?  Or is it to build on the steadfast conviction of grassroots conservatives? They have held true to their faith in God, right, and the Constitution, despite a constant barrage of scurrilous, pseudo-scientific cant against their faith, and the mobilization of just about every form of material, emotional, and psychological inducement, bribe or threat elitist faction cunning can conceive and bring to bear?

The steadfast faith of grassroots conservatives is nothing short of a miracle.  Conservative leaders need to imitate Washington.  They need to let go of the pride that attaches them to the sham partisan nightmare, and look to the opportunity the Constitution gives to every generation of Americans willing hold fast to the conviction that liberty is a miracle of God’s making, and can only survive when people have the courage to trust in Him.

General elections are that constitutional gift.  Instead of encouraging people to waste themselves on the phony preselection cycle of the sham party system (on this see my WND column this week, which should be available after 8 pm tonight), true conservatives should study the Constitution they profess to revere. It makes no provisions for Parties.  Instead of dying by their allegiance to the false idol of the two-party system, conservatives loyal to God-endowed right should concentrate on doing whatever it takes to assure that an authentic defender of the Constitution, the Declaration’s principles, and the just sovereignty of the American people, will be on the General Election ballot for every office, no matter what the phony Parties are up to.

That’s impossible, you say?  The odds are against it?  Such was the case when Washington, many times defeated, led erstwhile farmers and tradesmen to a surprising victory over the British Army’s professional Hessian mercenaries in Trenton, NJ.  Conservatives blinded by pride will refuse to look for the faith enlightened path that may lead to such a providential victory.  But those with eyes opened by faith, as Washington’s were, will seek and recognize the path that leads from faith, through trust in God, to true victory-  not for treacherous, self-serving partisans of tyranny, but for a free nation true to its ideals; and to the just cause of God-revering human liberty it was founded to vindicate.

Mr Keys I think I understand your thinking that politics is war by other means , but we SONS OF LIBERTY know it is to late for a political solution . You as many others have hope for real AMERICANS to remove the poolitical bands thru the voting. We are now at that time when they will not believe their eyes or hear our plea for a return to OUR AMERICAN way of life. Mr Keys you are a man I believe are loyal to liberty, prepare yourself .The enemy is inside the gate the war for our country is close at hand. The elite are almost done talking down to us . I’m ready to throw off the cloak of partisan identity, but am unable to ascertain the means by which my favoite candidate (ahem) can be added to the ballot. Unless a means can be had to crack their stanglehold on the process, I will be left with once again writing in the name of my preferred nominee.
But alas, trust in Him. Work as though everything depended upon me; pray as if everything depended upon God – because it does.
