Explanation and appeal

From the producer and author of Loyal to Liberty

Subscribers and regular visitors to this site will have noticed a lull in postings that finally came to an end last week.  I had to fulfill several obligations connected with my livelihood, in the midst of which I found myself distracted by the need to tend to a health issue that disrupted one of those activities.  This has been particularlySmallLogoLTL frustrating, not only because it affected the fundraising campaign I initiated with a view to making this site more effective, but especially because,  during the past few weeks critical events have transpired that particularly required thoughtful consideration.

(Such events include:

  • The United States Supreme Court’s irrational and cowardly refusal to deal with lower court actions that unconstitutionally abuse Federal judicial power in order to promote a specious right (the so-called “right” of homosexuals to marry).  In violation of the U.S. Constitution’s 9th Amendment, these actions misconstrue the enumeration of certain rights in the U.S. Constitution (in particular the right to equal protection of the laws) in order to deny and disparage antecedent rights retained by the people (in particular the God-endowed unalienable right conscientiously to regulate and restrict marriage in view of the laws of nature’s God for the perpetuation of the human species). The lower court actions also purported to enforce a species of law (respecting an establishment of religion) that the U.S. Constitution’s 10th amendment reserves to the states and the people, respectively.
  • Developments at the Synod on the Family convened by Pope Francis, which some forces at the highest levels of the Roman Catholic Church obviously intended as the opening gambit in their bid to impel the Church to welcome, accept and affirm unregenerate practitioners and advocates of homosexuality, adultery, and other sexual sins.  These are undeniably proclaimed and recognized as such by God and Jesus Christ, in passages of Scripture never otherwise construed or disputed in the teachings of the Catholic Church until the advent of sly, deceitful “controversies” stirred up in our current “faithless and twisted generation.” (Luke 9:41)
  • The latest confirmations, in the context of the Ebola epidemic and sundry other national security threats,  that Barack Obama and his collaborators are intent on severely weakening the people of the United States, in order to facilitate the purposeful deconstruction of  the institutions of constitutional self-government the nation’s founders established to “secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity….”

As the crisis of the republic comes to a head, it is more imperative than ever that everyone capable of doing so contribute to the clarity of our understanding and our firm resolve to break the siege now being laid against our nation’s moral, institutional and spiritual foundations.  This has, for many years, been my aim in all the activities God has allowed me to undertake.  I am more than ever determined to use the tools current technology provides to make Loyal To Liberty better serve this aim, especially in the critical period ahead.

My immediate goal is to produce a standalone video presentation to go along with each one of the major articles I write, in which I briefly summarize the gist of the article.  I would greatly appreciate any help you can give toward defraying the costs of that project (right now that mainly involves purchasing the software package I’ve been testing that allows a single individual to use equipment I already have to produce a fairly high quality result.)  If you want to help out with this, and with the my as yet unrealized aim of raising a small budget for publicizing the blog, visit the Loyal to Liberty project page at http://www.gofundme.com.

Thanks and Godspeed.

In light of all those events, this quote seems providential: because, it’s also the first Feast Day for St. John Paul II. “Vast sectors of society are confused about what is right and what is wrong and are at the mercy of those with the power to ‘create’ opinion and impose it on others … The family especially is under attack. And the sacred character of Human Life is denied. Naturally, the weakest members of society are the most at risk. The unborn, children, the sick, the handicapped, the old, the poor and unemployed, the immigrant and refugee. … Do not be afraid to go out on the streets and into public places. This is no time to be ashamed of the Gospel. It is a time to preach it from the rooftops.” ~ Ora pro nobis!

~ St. John Paul II, August 15, 1993, World Youth Day, Colorado USA.
