The Pledge to Impeach is an action plan

Not just a rhetorical statement

[When I think the exchange of views will be of benefit to my readers, I make a post of a reader’s comments, with the reply I gave to them.  I think the contrast of views expressed in this exchange clarifies the action strategy involved in the Pledge to Impeach Voter Mobilization.]

First Comment:

Dear Ambassador Keyes,

Re: http://www.wnd.com/2014/05/rand-paul-drinking-mcconnells-kool-aid/

Perhaps you have noticed my comment to your article above in which I posed a specific question to you. Here is what I wrote.

You keep explaining that the “elitist faction has the GOP by the throat”, that GOP is a sham party, not an opposition at all – and you are completely correct.

Then why don’t you support the call to blow up GOP (a criminal treasonous organization) by extracting its conservative remnants and gathering them into a new truly conservative constitutional party adhered to a clearly formulated constitutional Platform?! Every item of this Platform was self evident for the Founders being in the mainstream of their time, but now all of them are completely removed from the “circulation” and considered a taboo!

First, at the very least, we must return these tabooed items back into the circulation by voicing them out non-stop, 24/7. And the best way of doing this is in a frame of the new patriotic party (with a tentative name Judeo-Christian America).

http://resonoelusono.com/Platform.htm

Can you please elaborate on this issue (at least in our private communication)?

My First reply:

I believe we should follow George Washington’s advice.  Citizens should first gather on the basis of their common commitment to the cause of just law and liberty.  We suffer right now from the corrupt idea that politics is about “parties” when it ought to be about the common good of the nation.

People must be drawn together by their common allegiance to that cause.  Obama’s relentless assault on rights, liberty and the Constitution, and his obvious effort to establish a socialist dictatorship, have reminded many people of their commitment to unalienable rights, liberty and the Constitution intended to preserve them.  If and when millions of people commit themselves to the gathering of political will needed to impeach and remove Obama, the work of organizing themselves for political purposes will come naturally.

First the cause.  Then the gathering in that cause (which is what the pledge to impeach site is about). Then the political organization that allows people to identify and lift up, from amongst themselves, true representatives of the policies that cause requires.

That’s the order of business as I see it, not the competition of purely selfish ambitions (which are the focus of the sham party process because the supposedly opposing Parties are actually in agreement about discarding the principles and institutions of liberty and self-government.)

Second Comment:

Thank you for the prompt reply. I agree with your “First the cause” statement. The word “party” (in my call for the Judeo-Christian party) is secondary. I used it not having a more appropriate. You may call this initiative the “Judeo-Christian cause” or the “Judeo-Christian restoration”. This initiative is exactly the cause: The fundamental cause whose goal is to restore the original meaning of the Constitution and to return back into the circulation the fundamental concepts that the progressives had succeeded to remove and taboo.

Agree. The remnants of sane conservative citizens must gather on the basis of their commitment to the above formulated cause of restoration, whose basic items are listed in this Platform (and more may be added).

People must be drawn together by their common allegiance to that cause.

Yes, but first this cause must be clearly explained, expressed, and be kept constantly on the surface. The erosion of the fundamental concepts under efforts of the lefts had succeeded so much, that the original intent and meaning of the Constitution have been expelled from the public mind. It was expelled so “successfully”, that currently not one party, nor any conservative organization would dare to argue even for one item of the 18 items of the Platform – though all of them were in the main stream just some 100 years ago. That is how bad the things are.

You certainly follow the WND. Recall a comprehensive outline on the left fascism in the May 2014 issue. Recall how schools send classes to “field trips” in mosques, and so do police chiefs to their police subordinates, and so does FBI. This nation is completely taken by Saudis and neo-Bolsheviks, and ripe for neo-Bolshevism: Much more so than Russia in 1918. (Russia was taken, albeit not yet ripe for it at all).

For any external and disinterested observer, the reality of America looks as a total and irreversible defeat of the intent of the Founding Fathers. For external gambler it is impossible to bet for anything else but capitulation – given this reality.

However the patriotic insiders of this nation (like myself) are here having no place to go. We must stand for the Founder’s intent no matter what.

I see only two factors in favor of the contemporary American patriots (in comparison to the situation of the patriots in the 1918 Russia).

1) The freedom of speech still formally exists and the Internet still works.

2) More than 50 millions families are heavily armed (and hopefully will not concede their weapon).

This is what distinguishes us from Russia of 1918, but alas, this freedom of speech remains unused or willingly abandoned! Worse: Almost all nominally oppositional parties and organizations (Tea party, for example) actually cooperate with the illegal government in suppression of the truth. As I mentioned above, neither of them would dare to pose even one item of this basic Platform of survival.

That is why the patriotic remnants must join and made this basic Platform heard very loud NOW! Name this cause whichever you like. The cause is clear cut, and the cause is about survival of the intent of the Founders.

You greatly narrowed and trivialized the problem.

Obama is nothing: A puppet of those who paved the way for him since 2000. At issue is not merely removal of this puppet, but the full exposure of the entire criminal cabal (which is the entire government – all its branches and their subordinates)!

And even when this full exposure explodes and all the main culprits are punished – it will complete only the 1st item of the 18, while all the rest would still remain out of circulation (never mind solution!) We would still have a nation littered with islam, mosques, and dhimmies promoting them. We would still need to completely dismantle the entire school/university systems, the mass media, and many other corrupted institutions. It will be more difficult than building a nation from scratch…

First the cause.

OK. I laid my cause…

Then the gathering in that cause (which is what the pledge to impeach site is about).

I signed it long ago, but the pledge is even more narrow and incomplete than the outline of your cause as you presented it here. In your pledge to impeach you missed to stress out that:

(a) Already since 2008 Obama/Soetoro (the name uncertain) was a “3 dollar bill”. He  was unfit to the definition of the US natural born asserted as freshly as in the 2008 Sen. on 511 on McCain. If nothing else, this alone is incompatible with civility.

(b) Obama’s major docs happened to be forged and stolen. On the top of it, the “3 dollar bill” happened to be coarsely painted.

However let us get back to the Cause: The Judeo-Christian restoration. I am sure, a few truly conservative dignitaries would support the Platform : I am sure Pastor James Davis Manning would do. Would you? Who else?

The time is running. The majority of the nation wishes just to survive 2 more years burying the ineligibility forever (as it was done for Arthur in the 19th century, but this time with the damage in many orders of magnitude greater). If America fails to expose this unprecedented crime and repent before 2016, she will forever remain in the future chronicles buried in its own do-do up to its ears…

My Second Reply:

I do not believe that we can or should build from the ground up.  Though at present we are plagued with leaders who reject the principles and provisions of the U.S. Constitution (the principles being those from the Declaration of Independence, which I repeatedly and consistently discuss, beginning with the premise of rights endowed by our Creator), the fact is that in historic terms they produced a result unprecedented in human history.

If we act as if we’re starting over, we give up that record of success, including the profound moral effects (like the abolition of slavery and the establishment of respect for moral decency regardless of class distinctions) that were the good fruit of Christian egalitarianism (i.e., equal opportunity for salvation for all who accept Christ’s way of life, which translates into equal opportunity for justice for all who commit to do right, as endowed by the Creator.)

My platform is the Declaration: not just its words but the logic that reflects and informs their meaning.  I see no need to invent some other.  I am proud to stand on one that undeniably gives me Washington and Adams, Jefferson and Madison, Hamilton and Lincoln and Reagan as my companions.  (Not to mention the countless Americans who lived, risked all and even gave their lives with the words of the Declaration ringing true in their hearts and in their sacrifice.)

You’re right that Obama is in reality not that important.  But at the moment he is like the “tea tax” that became the occasion for the first American patriots to rally to the cause of righteous self-government.  Obama is in fact not the focus of the pledge to impeach effort.  The focus is to gather, for the sake of the things we hold dear.  Sadly, it is human nature for people to take things for granted until they are threatened.  But once the threat becomes real for them, they foretaste the grief, anger and regret the loss of them will cause, but before that loss is complete.

The actions of Obama and his collaborators are having this effect.  Like the “tea tax” their actions rouse strong feelings that move people to ask “What can we do?”  The answer must focus them on action that restores the integrity of their self-government, action that by impels them to exercise the responsibility the U.S. Constitution accords to, and requires, of them.  In practice, the aim of political speech is right action.

In light of this aim, the pledge to impeach/remove effort doesn’t trivialize the cause, rather it summarizes the whole elitist faction threat and all the goods that are threatened by it.  It is not just a platform for discussion.  It designates a clear strategic objective for action, and a plan to achieve that objective using the very political tools (free association, the internet and the vote) we Americans still possess.

(Nota bene: The pledge to impeach effort is involves exercising the first amendment “right of the people peaceably to assemble”.   In the context of the franchise, assembling is the decisive action. It is precisely what likeminded people must do on Election Day to support candidates who share and represent their common convictions. The elitist faction would be tyrants want us to forget this vital fact, of course, and to focus on endless speechifying while they complete the theft of our God endowed rights and liberty.)

When a situation rouses people to right action, it is a grave mistake to focus their longing on more discussion.  Right now, we do not need a new declaration of our cause.  We do not need talk-fests focused on Constitutional amendments, amendments that will be worthless unless people have the will and character to insist they be respected.  Nor should we act as if our political aim is to “blow up the GOP…by extracting its conservative remnants”.  Instead of fighting against a “Party”, (thereby accepting the false political paradigm of the elitist faction sham), we should be working for the renewal of the will, character and sovereign responsibility of the American people.

As members of the sovereign body of the American people, what we need now is to act, wielding the power the Constitution already gives us.  We must act, to prove that we still have the requisite will and character.  A million people, using the internet to gather (assemble) in the demand that Obama and his collaborators be impeached and removed, will be a good start toward that proof.  Five million would decide the issue.

Without such good will and character, “Fifty million gun owning families” is just a statistic, just like the millions of voters who undoubtedly share our allegiance to the God-revering principles the nation is founded upon.  We should stop pretending that people who won’t take the easy step of gathering as voters in order effectively to use the liberty they still have, will rush to do battle for it once the tyrants’ turn to violence to enforce their lawless acts. That turn of events that will signify our loss of liberty.  People terrorized by imaginary dangers into wasting the power of their votes are hardly likely to brave actual death and wounds when things reach the stage where they have no choice but to do so, against the odds.

This all boils down to two simple questions. Each person who professes to believe in what George Washington called our free form of government should be asking themselves these questions:  a) “As a voter, have I signed the pledge to impeach/remove?” b) “How many other voters have I persistently encouraged to do so?

This must be the strategic focus for political action in the months before the 2014 elections.  The assembly of pledged voters it produces, emboldened by the success of their proven commitment to preserve just law and liberty, will then be poised for decisive action before and during the 2016 election cycle.
