The Enemy of my enemy is…?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I’ve never been sure the old maxim made much sense. It gives your enemies rather too much control over the identification of your friends. What’s more, it allows people who really aren’t your friends to identify themselves as such just by opposing your enemies. Doesn’t that make it easier for your enemies to plant agents in your midst with no more effort than it takes to stage a phony brawl?
Because they live in such a hostile media environment, conservatives are all too willing to embrace any media voice that seems to take on their left wing opponents. But this means that at critical moments (particularly when it comes to personnel choices) they will be susceptible to information provided by people who have only been fighting with their enemies in order to get into a better position to do in the people whose sincerity, ability and leadership offer conservatives the greatest promise of success.
In this regard I have observed that the most important information conservatives can get from Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News Channel is silence: the things and people Fox positively ignores. You can be sure someone you know to be conservative is standing firm for what’s right when you can’t remember the last time you saw or heard anything positive about them on Fox News. Think of all the reporting they’ve done on the issue of Obama’s eligibility for the Presidency.
Listen to the silence. Better yet, learn from it.

Et tu, Brute? (a.k.a., Fox News?) In our clamoring to seek out and identify with those who best represent our Conservative ideals, I believe many of us, at times, have fallen into the pit of media worship. Media that, in and of itself, is spiritually vacant and without Divine guidance, media that reflects secular ideals and a mad desire for ratings, often at the expense of content. I appreciate Dr. Keyes’ statement which encourages us to reflect on to Whom should we rightly give that worship, that confidence. We need not chariots, nor horses, nor the party mouthpiece, however able to articulate our situation – however seemingly cognizant of our existing tyrrany. We need the Lord Jesus Christ. “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33. I sincerely doubt whether ANY news organization can boast that kind of return!
Dude, you’re a jackass. But at the same time you can be rather humorous. Perhaps you should try your luck at stand up comic.
Politics definitely isn’t the field for you. You are un-electable, uncharismatic and a little orthodox. Lets face it, not too many people are fond of an uncle tom ultra conservative whose voice sounds like that of an African immigrant.
