In the article “Is Romney to lead conservatives to self-extinction?” I scoffed at the notion that, after Romney “wins’ office by successfully gulling a conservative constituency” the conservatives who consent to be duped by him will be able to “hold his feet to the fire”. I based my skepticism on the fact that, by building a coalition with his leftist buddies in the supposedly opposing camp, he will dispense with the need to rely on conservatives for his re-election.
Of course this assumes that the power of incumbency will be sufficient to prevent a political uprising in the GOP strong enough to deprive him of the Party’s nomination.
Apparently the elitist faction leadership in the GOP has thought ahead to the same conclusion. Today I saw reports from several quarters (RNC Credentials Committee- Rules? There are no Rules!”, The death of the GOP, Protect your states delegates!, RNC to Cull Grassroots by Changing the Rules) about GOP Rules Committee actions that convey the clear message that delegates involved in grassroots political uprisings will, by hook or crook, be nullified; and that in 2016 the Party’s elitist selected presumptive nominee will have the power to replace any delegates not marching in lock-step with his Party line. In a word, should there be any fire within the party’s grassroots base, the elitist faction’s minions will be fully equipped to quench the flames and scatter the burning embers.
One of the reports referred to in the previous paragraph quotes an open letter to delegates in Tampa from Republican Liberty Caucus chairman Dave Nalle in which he summarizes the GOP elitist faction’s maneuvers. The letter refers to the fact that “they want to remove control over the rule making process from the state parties to a small elite within the national committee of the party who can change the rules under which the party operates at any time. Without fixed rules arrived at by the consent of the rank and file of the party we [state and national delegates elected at local conventions] become pawns rather than participants in the political process.”
All this adds up to the formalization of the Politburo style of party politics that was characteristic of the sham elections staged in the Old Soviet Union and its captive satellite states in Eastern Europe. I remember images of the Commie marionettes dutifully applauding whenever and whatever their Party bosses told them to applaud. I rejoiced in thinking that, for all its tumult, America’s politics allowed people to participate as free men and women, not Party fabricated slaves. How sad is the thought that this too is soon to be a memory, unless in one final effort of true patriotism, people who still believe in what America is supposed to be shrug off the elitist faction lie the GOP has become.
At what point in the developing denouement of this tragedy of the American Republic will the delusional “we’ve got no choice” Republicans accept the literal truth of what they are saying. The two party scam offers no real choice, and where there is no choice, there is no election. It doesn’t matter whether the present push toward open Politburo rule succeeds or fails. What matters is that the push makes clear the goal and purposes of the people who presently control the GOP, and the truth that, come what may, this is what they intend to impose.
While many sat on the sidelines doing nothing, I started warning in 2004 that Obama was a ruthless, godless proponent of communism and infanticide whose victory would set our nation on the path to its demise. Since 2008 I have warned repeatedly that first the McCain and now the Romney forces in the GOP leadership are simply a different wing of the same socialist oriented elitist faction that controls the Democrats; and that they share the same materialistic, fear and coercion based political culture.
The move to refashion the GOP according to the Politburo/Communist Party style of politics (which I inferred from their inaction some time ago) will therefore not come as a surprise to folks who have been exposed to the thinking and analysis offered on this blog. As ongoing events confirm my analysis of the current sham party system and its consequences for liberty, perhaps those who are shocked by them will be moved to begin reading and pondering the posts in which I have developed it. (A good place to start is the collection “Without Representation”, also accessible using the site’s navigation bar. ) Perhaps others will be moved make a donation using the Supporting Liberty button to your right, to help me spread the word by inviting more people to sample the thinking I offer here.
Or perhaps not. We’re at this potentially fatal juncture in the history of America’s liberty precisely because so many people refuse to believe in danger until it is upon them and almost past remedy. And when they finally awaken, it is only to be tempted to resignation or despair. I have succumbed to neither, mainly because my help is in the name of the Lord. Trusting in Him, I know that, though I seem to be speaking in a wilderness, yet it may be full of hope if there are but two or three others who will gather in His name… Will you be among them?
It all comes down to Romney – he was vicious in the primary, and this latest act of viciousness is certainly no surprise. I don’t need more reasons not to vote for Romney. On the spiritual side of things, I won’t vote for someone who believes that he can one day be a god. But politically – Romney’s liberal record as Governor (pro choice and he created homosexual marriage in the US); His refusal to speak out at all during the national day of support for Chick Fil A’s CEO; His reiteration that he believes the Boy Scouts should be allowing homosexuals to be leaders; and his “Obama is a nice guy but a failed President” campaign – there is also no reason at all for a conservative to vote for Romney. It’s time Christians and conservatives look to the Lord for answers. There are no politicians who can fix the problem.
May those who’ve placed their hope in
Christ and have been tempted to vote the
“lesser of evils” soon remember:
“There hath no temptation taken you but
such as is common to man: but
God is faithful, who will
not suffer you to be tempted
above that ye are able; but will
with the temptation also make a
way to escape, that ye may be
able to bear it.” 1 Cor 10:13
No Romney, No Obama 2012.
When will you realize ‘ ; that not voting ” ; is a vote for the Communist ‘
who is already ravaging our country ?
In times like this ; why do we stick to principals ‘ ; and loose ‘ it all ‘ ?
You have to look at the BIG PICTURE , a little further , than just the end of your nose ‘ .
